RunGreno 2024

Starts on

RunGreno is an unaffiliated event organised by the Grenoside Scout group.

The course is a hilly 7.3-mile trail race (Alt gained approx. 270m/900ft), taking place within several of the most popular outdoor areas of North Sheffield and its immediate surroundings, notably the woodland trails of Greno, Wharncliffe and Wheata Woods and the moorland fields and tracks (and views) of Wharncliffe Chase, before finishing through Grenoside Village and a small lap of Grenoside Park.

It’s a mixture of terrain and will provide a good challenge whether you’re a seasoned trail runner or a road runner looking for a different challenge. This year, runners will be able to choose on entry whether they would like to receive a medal.

Trophies for placed runners in male and female categories, plus winner’s trophies in the V40, V50 and V60 categories (M & F), plus team trophies for the club with the fastest combined time for the first three runners (M+F, individual trophies to the three runners) The race will be chip timed plus a professional photographer will be taking free photos for runners to download.

Pre-orders for BBQ and drinks are available on entry. Entrants must be 18 or over on the day of the race.
